Renewed UN Trust: Medical Mercy Foundation Becomes a Strategic Partner for UNHCR Until 2029

In a step affirming its commitment to the highest standards of quality and transparency in humanitarian work, Medical Mercy Foundation today announced its official accreditation as a Key Partner for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen. This partnership is set to implement humanitarian response programs during the next programmatic cycle, extending from 2026 to 2029.

This strategic accreditation was granted following an official memorandum from UNHCR, which confirmed the selection of Medical Mercy Foundation as an implementing partner. This decision follows a comprehensive and meticulous evaluation process covering the Foundation’s policies, administrative systems, and submitted field intervention mechanisms. The review confirmed the alignment of the Foundation’s vision and performance with the stringent international standards adopted by the United Nations in selecting its partners.

In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Aidha Ali Al-Saadi, Executive Manager of Medical Mercy Foundation, said:

"Our selection as a key partner for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees is not merely a working agreement; it is a badge of trust that we proudly wear. This accreditation reflects the maturity of our institution and its capacity to fulfill its commitments towards the most vulnerable populations. We are dedicated to leveraging this partnership to provide medical and humanitarian interventions that preserve human dignity and alleviate suffering, complementing the desire we expressed in July 2025 to work side-by-side with international partners."

This partnership comes at a time of increasing need for concerted humanitarian efforts. Over the coming years, the Foundation will work to implement a comprehensive package of qualitative programs aimed at enhancing healthcare and emergency response for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), ensuring services reach those who need them efficiently and effectively.
