Based on the interest in the environmental aspect and under the auspices of the Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for the Affairs of the Valley and Desert Directorates, Mr. Amer Saeed Al-Amiri
In cooperation with the Ittefaq Center for Environmental and Agricultural Studies and the Applied Research Center (Carbo), and with funding from the German Robert Bosch Foundation, the Medical Mercy Foundation held in the hall of Al-Ahqaf Hotel in Sayun a workshop entitled The Impact of Environmental Pollutants on Local Communities in Hadramout. Environmental pollution in the community and its impact on the local communities in Hadramawt governorate resulting from oil extraction and others

At the opening of the workshop, a number of speeches were delivered by the Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in the Hadramout Valley and the Desert, lawyer Ahmed Abdullah Bahashwan, and the Director General of the Sah Directorate, Sheikh Mubarak bin Aboudan Al-Jabri. She indicated the importance of this workshop because it came in an important aspect. Including the environmental aspect and defining its risks through this workshop, whose outputs we hope will contribute to reducing the dangers of environmental pollution in the local community.

The Executive Director of the Medical Mercy Foundation, Dr. Aisha Al-Saadi, delivered a speech welcoming everyone pointing to the importance of holding this workshop because it came in an important aspect related to the lives of people in the local community in light of the spread of environmental pollution in Hadramout Governorate, stressing that the Foundation will continue to do its best In that aspect, serving the community to contribute to providing an environment free of environmental pollution resulting from oil extraction and others to mitigate the severity of the spread of diseases, wishing success in their future tasks to serve the community
He called on everyone to gather around each other, work in a team spirit, and spread health awareness among the community

During the workshop, he reviewed the field study of the project on the impact of environmental pollutants on local communities in Hadramout, presented by Eng. Their tasks and future plans to serve Hadramout.
The workshop was attended by the Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in Wadi Hadramout and the Desert, Mr. Shukri Bamousa, a number of academic personalities and general managers of a number of executive offices.
